Admission Prices

There are various methods of payment if you wish to visit Rail Story.

Rover Ticket - you will receive free entry into both museums and unlimited travel on the railway for the day if you purchase a KWVR Rover Ticket. Members of the National Trust enjoy free entry to the Engine Shed.

Adults £20            Concession £17       Children (5-15) £10 

One adult or concession plus ONE child £25

Two adults or concession plus up to THREE children £50

Joint Admission - you can purchase a ticket at either the Engine Shed or the Carriage Works which allows entry into both museums. 

Adults £5              Concession £4           Children (5-16) £3

Individual Admission - if you choose to visit just one of the museums on site, you can pay on the door. 

Adults £3              Concession £2.50     Children (5-16) £2

Please note children under 5 are free at both museums and entitled to free travel on the railway. 

Rail Story is open 11.00 - 16.00 every day except Christmas Day.

Carriage Works is open seven days a week.

The station is wheelchair accessible.

Both museums have areas which are accessible for wheelchair users but unfortunately they are not fully accessible due to the age and nature of the buildings. 

There is a large free car park at Ingrow West, also suitable for larger vehicles.
